Personal and critical literacy
With many major businesses and large government departments downsizing and diversifying, there is a trend towards people working from home and setting up their own businesses. To cope with this changing nature of work, it is increasingly important for students to be enterprising and flexible.
This resource encourages learners to rethink entrepreneurship from the stereotype of Steve Jobs etc to an individual who thinks outside the box. The tool includes links to two, 2-minute TED.Ed talks and a series of short discussion topics for reflection.
The resources are most useful to students and educators if students have first created a personalised employability profile as part of the 6-step Developing EmployABILITY process.
