Jo is an teacher and researcher in information technology. Her research interests encompass a range of topics including the use of educational technologies, gender issues in IT, work-integrated learning and cultural diversity in online learning. Jo has published extensively in journals and conferences on her research activities. In 2016 Jo was nominated an Australian Learning and Teaching Fellow. The funded program aims to develop a common understanding of digital literacy and build a digital literacy benchmark for students entering and graduating from Australian higher education institutions, bridging the gap between school skills and workplace skills.
